FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.
What can I expect from therapy?
Together we will identify the problem areas in your life and clarify the goals you are looking to achieve. You will come to understand what has kept you stuck and learn new ways of thinking and coping so that you can have the life that you want.
What insurance plans do you accept?
I am an in-network provider for Aetna, Highmark, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Humana, Cigna, Quest Behavioral Health, Wellspan EAP, UPMC, Capital Blue Cross and United Health/Optum. Most clients will only have a copay. If you have another insurance plan, I am happy to provide you with a statement that you can submit to take advantage of your out-of-network benefits. Self-pay clients are also accepted.
How do I know if we would be a good fit?
You need to “click” with a therapist. The best way to find out if we would be a good match would be to schedule an appointment. I also offer a free 15 minute phone consultation. I would be happy to set up a time to talk to answer any questions you may have.
How does the Anger Management Group work?
I meet with all potential group clients for an individual initial evaluation first. This gives me the opportunity to make sure the group is a good fit for you and gives you the opportunity to ask any questions you might have. Once we agree that you could benefit from the group, you will be added to the list to start the next new group.
I start a new group about every 10 weeks. The group is structured to meet weekly for 10 sessions. The group is only offered via video telehealth currently. It is for both men and women who are motivated to address their problem anger. It is usually a mix of individuals who are self-referred and those that are court-referred. The group satisfies the requirements of most courts for anger management. Feel free to contact me if you have other questions.
How do I get started?
If you are ready to take the next step, just click on the “Schedule an Appointment” link. I use a company called Grow Therapy to handle billing and scheduling. The link takes you to my scheduling page on their site.
If you prefer, you can just send me an email or give me a call directly. I offer video sessions for day and evening appointments.
